Fort Pierce Facility Water Damage Mitigation
The break in the water supply line in the restroom of this facility in Fort Pierce shows the water pooling on the resilient flooring. The action taken by our SERVPRO technicians was to remove the water to prevent rusting to the lockers. We also removed the vinyl cove molding, drilled small weep holes in that area, as depicted in the After Photo, and rigged an injecti-dry system to dry out the wall voids. We then use our moisture meters and an infrared imaging camera to ensure that the unwanted moisture has been removed. Mold infestations following a water damaging event can be prevented with careful drying to standard moisture content levels and an application of an antifungal agent.
